VINYL SIDING
Why Homeowners Choose Vinyl Siding
Vinyl is the most popular siding in Massachusetts for good reason: it never needs painting, it resists rot and insects, and it gives you a fresh, uniform look at a lower cost than most other materials.
The difference between vinyl that lasts and vinyl that warps or rattles is the installation. Panels must hang loosely so they can expand and contract through our hot summers and freezing winters, and every window, door and roof line needs proper flashing behind the siding.
No scraping or painting. An occasional rinse with a garden hose keeps it looking clean.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does vinyl siding last?
Quality vinyl siding typically lasts several decades when it is installed correctly and the wall behind it is kept dry. Proper flashing and loose nailing are what prevent the buckling and gaps that shorten its life.
Is insulated vinyl siding worth it?
Insulated vinyl has a foam backing that makes panels stiffer and straighter on the wall and adds a modest amount of insulation. It costs more than standard vinyl, so we help you decide if it fits your goals and budget.
Can you install vinyl over my old siding?
In most cases we recommend a full tear-off so we can inspect the sheathing, fix any rot and install new house wrap and flashing. Covering problems up usually leads to bigger repairs later.
Do I need a permit for siding in Massachusetts?
Many towns require a building permit for re-siding. As a licensed contractor (HIC #194346, CS #116371) we handle the permit process for you.
