PORCH CONSTRUCTION & REBUILDS
A Front Porch Built to Last
Porches are part of the character of many New England homes, but older porches often sit on shallow piers with rotted posts, sagging beams and worn decking. Over time the roof can start to sag and the whole structure can pull away from the house.
We rebuild porches the right way: new footings, posts on proper post bases, new beams and framing, and supports for the porch roof. Then we finish with decking, railings, ceilings and low-maintenance trim that fits the style of your home.
New footings, posts and beams fix sagging and unsafe porch structures.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you rebuild my porch without removing the porch roof?
Often, yes. We temporarily shore up the roof, replace the footings, posts and framing underneath, and then set the roof back on the new structure. We assess this during the estimate.
Do I need a permit to rebuild a porch?
Rebuilding a porch structure usually requires a building permit in Massachusetts. We prepare what the town needs and schedule the inspections.
How long does a porch rebuild take?
Many front porch rebuilds take one to three weeks depending on size, roof work and inspections. We give you a schedule before the work begins.
What materials do you recommend for a porch?
Pressure-treated lumber for the structure, with composite, PVC or tongue-and-groove flooring, PVC trim and vinyl or composite railings for a durable, low-maintenance finish.
